Ethics and Professionalism for Engineers Dr. Reginald Vachon, PE, Principal and COO, Gipco Holdings International, Ltd. This course covers ethics in the practice and concept of a profession. "Ethics" is defined and moral/ethical statements vs. etiquette and law are examined. Codes of ethical standards are listed. The ways ethical questions arise in professional practice and actual example cases are examined. This video presents real-life examples of ethical issues with approaches for analyzing and resolving the issues. Course # V98E - 3 hours Contracts for Engineers and Surveyor Dr. Reginald I. Vachon The objective of the course is to make the student conversant and knowledgeable in the essentials of contract law and provide a basis for framing a draft contract for review by a licensed attorney. The end result should be sufficient understanding of the elements of contract law to identify basic problems in a contract. Model contract documents provided by the National Society of Professional Engineers, Associated General Contractors and American Institute of Architects will be discussed.
